Software companies Cube and Four Digits join forces in software and AI.
Arnhem-based Four Digits is joining Oldenzaal-based software company Cube. Together they strengthen each other in data-driven software and AI, with a team of 70 specialists across Arnhem and Oldenzaal. Both companies remain independent, keeping their own name, culture and team, connected within the Cubes holding. Four Digits has been building software for 21 years, Cube for 15; two companies that know their craft. For existing clients, this means they keep their familiar point of contact and immediately gain access to the combined knowledge and specialist skills of the entire group.

Complementary expertise for digital transformation.
The two companies complement each other strongly in substance. Four Digits develops in Python, the leading language for Artificial Intelligence, and excels in deep domain knowledge. Cube specialises in large, complex application landscapes, where various applications are fed from a central piece of middleware, a data management platform. It is precisely that data foundation that makes AI applicable, and with it Cube helps organisations move forward in their digital transformation. By combining both worlds, clients can achieve more than either company could offer on its own.
For clients, this means access to more specialisms in one place. Cube and Four Digits are building a joint technology proposition from the conviction that technology moves organisations forward, translating business objectives into technology that works. The teams are the core of both companies, each already running well on its own. The fact that the teams of Cube and Four Digits know how to find each other in practice is clear from the multiple projects they are already working on together, with teams from both sides complementing one another.
Clients of the companies include Pure Energie, Industrial Auctions, Thermen Resorts, Just Eat Takeaway, NOU, Humanitas, Efteling, Mollie and FC Twente.

Sustainable growth and preserving culture.
"We are building these companies deliberately on our own strength, at our own pace and on our own terms, because we want to create something that will still stand twenty years from now. For us, that includes a strong culture, where people really know each other and work towards the long term together. Deliberately not growing too large per location is part of that; it is how we keep both that culture and the quality high. And clients notice it: they work with people who truly understand their challenge and who will still be there years from now," says Job Keupink, founder of Cube and initiator of Cubes.
"We can keep building on what we have been doing successfully for years, but now with more direct strength around us. Together with Cube, we gain access to more people, more knowledge and more specialist skills. It is exactly that combination of strengths that offers enormous opportunities for the future. Shaping the AI transition of both our own organisation and that of our clients, and really pushing ahead with it, comes within reach this way," says Maarten Kling, CEO of Four Digits.
"It feels good: entrepreneurs strengthening each other within Cubes. Both organisations see major growth opportunities in this collaboration and bring a natural curiosity about what we can achieve together. Our shared focus on quality and passion for technology form a strong foundation. I look forward to the technical innovation that will come from it. We will share knowledge, inspire each other and keep developing. That is how we create technology our clients can continue to rely on," adds Ralph Jacobs, founder of Four Digits.
The group was not created simply to link companies together. Cube and Four Digits have the experience to help organisations with technological innovation and transformation, and combine that knowledge into a shared way of working. The companies strengthen each other, with more value for the client as the goal. The ambition is to expand the group further in the years ahead.
