What is a corporate website?
The term “corporate website” comes up often, but its meaning varies depending on the context. At its core, it is an organization’s digital presence: the place where stakeholders, potential clients, partners, and the press can learn more about you. This is what distinguishes a corporate site from an e-commerce site or a campaign page. The target audience is broader, the messages are diverse, and the demands for consistency are higher. A custom-built website is therefore almost always the better choice for a corporate organization. You can customize a standard CMS to a certain extent, but sooner or later you’ll run into the limits of what the system allows.
It’s okay to start small. But you have to think big.
