Especially in the field of home automation, where Coulisse is a trendsetter within its market, developments follow at a rapid pace. With an increasingly complex product range, it became necessary to share knowledge effectively with both employees and customers. To meet this challenge, Coulisse worked together with Cube to develop a Learning Management System (LMS) that makes knowledge transfer easier and more efficient.
With complex product offering to effective knowledge transfer.
Coulisse faced the challenge of efficiently transferring the extensive and rapidly evolving knowledge about their products, think different types of motors, connectivity, different platforms and extensive operating options, to both internal staff and external resellers. Traditional methods fell short, leading to differences in knowledge levels and more limited customer support. The need arose to create a system that could not only effectively transfer knowledge, but would also increase reseller engagement.

Accessible and efficient training with new LMS.
Cube developed a customised LMS that is easily accessible to both Coulisse employees and resellers. This system allows users to independently create an account, select relevant learning modules, and track their progress through a user-friendly interface. The LMS also includes quizzes and exams to measure the learning effect, with scores immediately visible to the user.
A key technical aspect of the solution was the integration with Articulate via the experience API (xAPI). In fact, the content of the learning modules is managed by Coulisse itself in the Articulate programme. Thanks to the experience API, learning modules can be opened within the LMS without users noticing that the content comes from another application. Moreover, the system provides automated notifications and weekly updates to keep users informed about new learning modules and their progress.
Personalisation for resellers.
For Coulisse resellers, the LMS offers extensive management options, such as the ability to apply their own branding and personalise learning modules for different organisations. This allows resellers, such as large DIY stores, to train their employees in a customised environment, contributing to a consistent and high level of knowledge within their teams.
Increased engagement and improved performance.
With the implementation of the new LMS, Coulisse has taken a big step forward in improving knowledge transfer and customer support. Employees and resellers can now enrich their knowledge in a structured and efficient way, which has led to higher engagement and improved performance. Resellers benefit from the ability to customise the LMS to their own brand identity and training needs, reinforcing the consistency and quality of knowledge within their organisations.
Ongoing development.
Currently, a further development has been implemented where managers have the ability to manage groups within the LMS. This will enable them to monitor the progress and performance of their team members, allowing them to be more targeted to their teams' learning needs. This functionality has now been delivered and represents an important first step in the further expansion of the LMS, with future additions such as on-site training, enhanced onboarding, gamification through different knowledge levels and more extensive learning modules on the horizon.
