Plegt-Vos develops and builds living environments with a strong focus on innovation and industrialization. This approach is progressive, well thought-out, and focused on the long term. The online presence needed to match this story. The existing website provided a solid foundation, but lacked the flexibility to present projects, people, and innovations in a clear and forward-looking way. Discussions with Plegt-Vos clarified the need for an environment that not only shows what is being built, but also how the company works, and that grows along with Plegt-Vos ambitions.
Plegt-Vos wanted to be able to respond better online to current themes such as recruitment, innovation, and the presentation of projects. The ambition was clear: an environment that moves with the organization and offers room for further growth. In practice, the existing CMS proved to be limiting in this respect. Further development and optimization required a relatively large number of technical adjustments, which put pressure on flexibility in management. For an organization that continuously innovates and looks ahead, a more agile solution was required. Plegt-Vos therefore sought a partner who could look beyond technology alone. A party who could contribute strategically to structure, user-friendliness, and positioning for today's developments and tomorrow's ambitions.
Together with Cube, Plegt-Vos started a design sprint. Not to start from scratch, but to build on what was already there in a smarter way. The structure of the website was examined closely. The goal: a clear structure that feels logical to visitors and is practical to manage. The Silverstripe CMS was chosen as the technical basis. This open-source system offers the flexibility to grow with the organization without making management unnecessarily complex. The CMS is set up to suit Plegt-Vos' working methods, allowing teams to manage and expand pages independently. As a result, new ideas no longer have to wait for technical interventions but can be translated directly to the website.
The “Working at” environment has been completely redesigned to better align with Plegt-Vos' recruitment needs. In a tight labor market, it's not just about findability, but about the complete story behind the organization. Job openings, disciplines, and projects are therefore logically grouped in a clear mega menu. Visitors can find what suits them more quickly, while Plegt-Vos can add new functions and content more easily.
Plegt Vos also manages the Smart House Factory, a central location where housing components are largely prepared industrially before being assembled on the construction site. This location has been given a clearer and more prominent place within the main structure of the website. With interactive 3D visualization, visitors can explore the factory and gain insight into the construction process. This shows how Plegt-Vos applies industrialization in practice. Innovation thus remains concrete and tangible, rather than abstract.
Within the main section “Projects,” visitors are taken to “Our projects.” Here, the structure has been refined with a targeted search and filter function. Projects can be easily selected based on criteria such as type and location. This makes it clearer for visitors and more manageable for the organization.
In addition to the visible renovation, important optimizations have also been made behind the scenes. A customized service form has been developed that allows residents and business relations to easily submit service requests. These requests are not forwarded manually, but are automatically processed via the linked Service Desk Flow. Based on the type of report, the request is immediately assigned to the appropriate service desk or responsible department within Plegt-Vos. At the same time, the request is registered within this flow, ensuring that follow-up is structured and fully traceable.
The renewed website is now more than just an overview of projects and vacancies. What started as a technical renewal has grown into an environment that actively contributes to recruitment, service, and positioning. Content can be managed independently, requests are processed automatically, and internal processes are more efficient and structured.
The improved performance ensures faster loading times and a smooth user experience. Job vacancies are more visible, projects are easier to find, and service requests are followed up more quickly thanks to the linked system flow. This gives Plegt-Vos a website that not only shows the end result, but also the process behind it.
