We would like to give the floor to our former trainees so that they can share their experiences with you. These former interns are still gaining knowledge every week as part-time employees of Cube.

What did you do during your internship?

"I helped create several websites for clients, with a focus on front-end. I also took on a win campaign for a large supermarket chain. As an internship assignment, I helped set up a new recruitment platform."

What did you learn?

"During my education, relatively little attention is paid to actually developing websites, something I am keen to learn. At Cube, I was given the freedom to choose what I wanted to work on and was allowed to collaborate on projects that suited my interests. This made it possible for me to learn new techniques not covered during my education.

Without any prior experience, I was soon able to collaborate on projects in PHP and Vue.js. Since, after six months, I was far from finished learning at Cube, I was fortunately allowed to come back a few times a week. Definitely not a bad side job alongside my studies! "

What kind of company is Cube?

"Cube is, according to the Emerce top 100, a small web development company that stands out for their enthusiasm and empathy. With a total of 26 employees, it is a company that nevertheless already has some big clients to its name. Within the team and on the shop floor, helping each other is key and joys and sorrows are shared. Being yourself is encouraged and you soon feel welcome and appreciated."

Could you recommend interning at Cube?

"Every internship is different and every internship is what you make of it. Within Cube, as an intern you will be included in the team. Through your own initiatives and intrinsic motivation, you can shape the type, difficulty and level of responsibility of your assignments yourself. Instead of being taken by the hand and told exactly what to do, you can contribute your own knowledge and experience to give a problem the right solution. And that is ultimately how you can actually develop yourself. So yes, if you want to improve yourself, fully participate in the workplace and really learn something, I can definitely recommend Cube! Besides, it's also very sociable, activities are regularly planned and we have a beer together every week during the free mibo :)"
