How Cushman & Wakefield moved from separate websites to one scalable platform.

Cushman & Wakefield is a global real estate advisory firm that supports organizations in buying, leasing, managing, and strategically optimizing commercial real estate. Each office location has its own dedicated website, tailored to the specific building. At the same time, every new location meant starting a new development process, with its own alignment, planning, and investment. This created a growing need for more consistency and oversight, not by replacing existing solutions, but by organizing them more intelligently.

When growth calls for structure.

Each office location had its own online environment. With every new location, the development process started from scratch: design was aligned, technology set up, and content created. This provided flexibility and room for customization. At the same time, every expansion required new alignment, planning, and investment. As the organization continued to grow, the need emerged to organize this process more intelligently and centrally, without losing the flexibility for tailored solutions.

Data that brings buildings to life.

The platform is built using reusable components and predefined themes. This allows new locations to be set up within a recognizable structure, without starting from scratch each time. Think of modules for building introductions, availability overviews, download sections, and contact moments. The use of reusable components makes it easy to compose and adjust pages, without losing overall consistency. This keeps the experience uniform, while still allowing room for flexibility.

Insight into availability with an interactive stacking plan.

A key feature is the interactive stacking plan: a visual representation of the building that shows available spaces per floor. Visitors can easily navigate the property and immediately see which units are available, along with their corresponding floor plans. The stacking plan is connected to the underlying availability data. As soon as a space is leased or becomes available, its status is automatically updated, ensuring that the information remains accurate and up to date. Administrators retain full control over the stacking plan’s setup, from drawing floor areas to linking units and configuring different views.

Where management and communication come together.

The platform is connected to property and availability data, so information about available spaces is updated automatically. As soon as a unit is leased or becomes available, this is immediately reflected on the website, keeping the building presentation aligned with the current situation. In addition, the platform is integrated with Chainels, a tenant app that centralizes communication, notifications, and service requests. This creates a seamless connection between building information, availability, and tenant communication, all within a single environment.

Built for future growth.

The digital environment enables scalable growth. New locations can be added within the existing structure, without requiring a separate development process each time. This shortens launch timelines and reduces reliance on external parties. With centralized management, updates no longer need to be applied manually to each individual website. Availability, requests, and communication are handled through integrated systems, reducing the risk of errors and increasing data reliability. The result is not a collection of disconnected websites, but a cohesive ecosystem that grows alongside Cushman & Wakefield’s ambitions.
